Congratulations to Mercado Director Melissa Freidhof-Rodgers for being this week’s winner of Ascentra Credit Union's People Helping People contest! This is what her nominator said about her acts of kindness:
“Melissa is a tireless volunteer and advocate in the local immigrant community. She has coordinated efforts to give away over 1000+ masks to the Floreciente and surrounding neighborhood and has also coordinated cash mobs and curbside events to help local restaurants. She is an exemplary Quad Citizen who is focused on bettering her community everyday.”
It is wonderful to see Melissa get the recognition she deserves! Since joining the team in August of 2019, Melissa has been an incredible resource for Mercado food vendors and patrons alike. The events she plans stir up so much excitement in the community- event the virtual ones!
